VICKY
MORGAN
Sound Ministry Director
Victoria "Vicky" Morgan began her formal training in the Sound Tech field at the U of A, where she majored in Media Arts and Speech, and minored in Music.
Her desire to be a part of those fields (as opposed to just learning about them) led her to Los Angeles. She started out as a Sound Effects Librarian with a successful post production company called
Soundluxe. For a year, she listened to, described and cataloged sound effects. She went on to edit background tracks, record Foley and ADR, and help the Sound Supervisors pick sound effects for movies. She has worked on over 20 major motion pictures.
She learned about mixing music by experience. playing and recording with bands throughout L.A. After some close calls with worldly success, the Lord led her back to Tucson.
In Tucson, she recorded and produced some albums, served as the Promotions Producer/Writer for KOLD-TV, ran camera and audio for KOLD-TV NEWS and KGUN 9 NEWS, then became an Engineer's Assistant and Commercial Producer for Allusion Studios.
After listening to Pastor Robert
on Practical Christian Living for four years,
she decided to rededicate her life to the Lord.
"The Holy Spirit was calling me home. I set a
cautious foot in Calvary Tucson one morning and
never looked back," Vicky says.
"The world holds nothing for me. Though some may think my former life was exciting, in reality it only brought destruction. I had given my life to Jesus when I was 16, and then spent the majority of my life trying to take it back from Him. I am grateful to serve, train and help others learn the craft of sound. It's an awesome blessing that I am able to serve in the ministry that God used to inspire me to return home."
