The Reception is
a ministry dedicated
to reaching the
hearts of those with
special needs with
the heart of Christ.
We desire to provide
support and
encouragement to
families and
caregivers of those
with special needs
in an atmosphere of
love and safety.
The Reception
strives to recognize
and encourage
individual strengths
and abilities while
presenting and
modeling biblical
truths. Using
communicative
devices such as Big
Macks, Picture
Boards and Talkers,
we follow a routine
of fellowship,
worship, modified
Bible studies,
scripture
memorization, prayer
and praise.
Along with VBS, we
hope to send our
young people and
their families to
special needs camp
this summer with
Joni and Friends.
All ages are welcome
at The Reception
and anyone with a
heart to serve may
come participate as
well. It is our
prayer that we will
have a Reception
class at each
service on both
campuses. It is also
our prayer to equip
and train Sunday
School teachers in
receiving children
with special needs
into their own
classrooms. |
